Oregon Weimaraner Rescue

Tweety is a cuddly 4 year spayed female Weimaraner who finds herself in need of a forever home following the recent passing of her beloved elderly owner. Currently in a temporary home Tweety is thriving alongside another dog while shedding a few pounds through daily walks and visits to the dog park. She is current on her vaccines (recently boarded for a few days), 80 pounds and dropping, microchipped, happy and healthy. Foster reports that she is great on leash, alerts to go outside, responds to her name and "come" though her foster parent is working on expanding the list of commands. Her lifestyle living with elderly persons had been fairly sedentary so she is not too demanding on the exercise front, though Tweety appears to be appreciating the newfound mental stimulation and activity associated with a younger household. She has not lived with children but did briefly meet some 1 and 4 year old young boys without issue and foster mom describes Tweety as a total lover of all people. 

Other items we know: She is unphased by loud noises (foster lives near train tracks). Tweety sleeps on a dog bed, on a couch or human bed if allowed (she is an equal opportunity snuggler). She has never lived with cats but is staying in a home which normally has two indoor cats (they were removed out of an abundance of caution before Tweety's arrival) and Tweety doesn't seem to care much about the smell and/or obvious prior presence of cats.
